By day, I am a criminal defense attorney; by night, a poet/writer/blogger. Did I mention I am also a full-time student at a seminary? Currently, my seminary studies have me learning biblical Hebrew in a communicative manner. Of course, this messes with my Spanish, Japanese and Latin (I’m not fluent in any of them either). Si, boker tov, sensei, mea culpa. Or something like that.
So, in the meager amount of free time I manage to find in my week, I try to keep up with autoracing (Nascar to F1 to sprint cars), read (biographies to self-help to history to whatever), watch football, administer my fantasy football league, take Blaze (the dog) on an occasional walk (is once every 8 weeks too often?), Facebook and on blue moons that fall on Wednesdays, play the guitar & piano (who am I kidding!)
I love to travel, but my life is now restricted to traveling to school or a sporadic weekend getaway to a relative’s house (hey, it’s cost effective!).
Right now, I’m contemplating whether to become a foster mom or whether I should adopt. I’d love to adopt internationally. Most days, I think I’m ready for it, and then others I’m certain I’m not. Baby steps, I guess.
